'Succession' Star Brian Cox Justifies Show's Ending, Says It "Always Had A Shelf Life"

At the London screening held on March 24, 2023, Brian Cox spoke about the show's ending during the Q&A.

While the ending of 'Succession' will create a gaping hole for the show's fans, Brian Cox has come to terms with it.

Brian Cox praised the writing team, saying, "These British writers have discipline and know that a show has a shelf life... Most shows go past their sell by date."

Brian Cox, who plays the indomitable patriarch Logan Roy show, talked about how he'll miss working with the cast and crew. 

The Scottish actor told the audience that the episode he relishes the most is where Kendall (Jeremy Strong) decides to double-cross his father, Logan.

Jesse Armstrong had started planning the show's end in the second season. He announced that 'Succession' was coming to an end last month.

Casey Bloys, the HBO and HBO Max chairman and CEO said he would have wanted the show to stay on the air for two more seasons.

The fourth and final season of 'Succession' begins airing on March 26, 2023.
