James Gunn Denies Casting  Logan Lerman As DC's Next Superman

James Gunn has denied all rumors of Logan Lerman being cast to take on the role of Kryptonian hero.

James Gunn took to Twitter, saying no such agreement has been made between the actor and the studio as he doesn't know the actor.

In another tweet, James Gunn James confirmed his 'Superman' project is still in its early phase, saying he's still making list of potential candidates.

James Gunn is writing and directing 'Superman: Legacy.' He has confirmed his take won't be an origin story.

James Gunn's 'Superman: Legacy' will center around Superman's heritage — how both his aristocratic Kryptonian parents and his Kansas farmer parents inform who he is and the choices he makes.

Previously, 'Euphoria' actor Jacob Elordi was also rumored to play Superman. Henry Cavill is longer DC's Superman.

For his version of Superman, James Gunn is reportedly looking to cast an actor in his 30s.

'Superman: Legacy' has a theatrical release date of July 11, 2025.
