Jean-Baptiste Oudry’s The White Duck was stolen in 1992 from Houghton Hall, England. The burglar used smoke to hide the activity from cameras.

Called the Poppy Flowers, the painting was stolen from the Egypt-based Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil Museum in 1887. Although it was recovered in 2010 in Kuwait, it went missing again the same year.
