Ana de Armas has been in the headlines for some time following reports that she would appear as Wonder Woman in the rebooted DC Universe.
DCEU has already announced its new slate of films. The franchise is all set to press the reset button after the release of ‘The Flash.’
While speaking in an interview, Ana responded to the reports of playing Wonder Woman. She said she feels that Gal Gadot gave her best in the role.
Ana also mentioned that Gadot should continue playing the role in the upcoming projects and that she is doing a great job.
Gal Gadot first appeared as Wonder Woman in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’, released in 2016. She reprised her role in ‘Justice League.’
Gadot last appeared as the character in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, released in 2020. A third film was planned but it has been canceled.
Although plans for a third film were canceled, Gadot reprised her role in ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’. The film earned around $132 million at the box office.
While James Gunn joined as the new head of DC Studios, several planned sequels and standalone projects have been canceled.
