What Is India Amarteifio's Ethnicity?

India Amarteifio is a British actress who started her career on stage, starring in multiple plays and finally she is getting her big break with Netflix's 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.'

She made her feature film debut in 2019 with 'Military Wives.' India acted in shows like 'Doctor Who,' 'The Interceptor,' 'The Tunnel,' and others.

India is playing Queen Charlotte, the first mixed ethnicity queen of the Britain and wife of King George.

Queen Charlotte married King George within six hours of meeting at St. James Palace's Chapel Royal after coming from Germany to Britain.

It is believed that Queen Charlotte is the descendant of the Black branch of the royal Portugal family of Alfonso III.

India Amarteifio is a mixed ethnicity child herself. India's mother is a white German, whereas her father has a Ghanaian ancestry.

During an interview with Vogue, Amarteifio admitted that she could relate to Queen Charlotte as she could not fit in.

She said that she is aware of how one feels walking into a room and all eyes on you as you are the only person of color.
