Elon Musk Takes Charge Of Approving All Hires At Tesla

Tesla  CEO Elon Musk has informed his employees of having a hands-on role in the organization's hiring policy.

Elon Musk wrote an email to his executives asking for a list of potential candidates he would personally approve.

The email also asked the executives to exercise their decision-making, to "think carefully" before submitting their hiring requests.

Elon Musk's email read, "No one can join Tesla, even as a contractor, until you receive my email approval."

Elon Musk appointed former NBCUniversal advertising chief Linda Yaccarino as Twitter's new CEO.

Tesla posted its lowest quarterly gross margin in two years as it slashed prices aggressively in markets including the United States and China.

As CEO, Linda Yaccarino will focus on business operations, while Musk, now the executive chair, will handle things on the side of product design and new technology.

With the hiring of Yaccarino, Elon Musk will now have more time to focus on his duties as the Tesla CEO.
