BBC announced the date of the final episode that will feature Jodie Whittaker's final appearance as the doctor. She is the thirteenth Time Lord.

After the departure of Whittaker, Ncuti Gatwa from 'Sex Education' will take over the role of the Time Lord. He will be the fourteenth Time Lord. Gatwa is also the first Black actor to land the central role.
