Selena Gomez Shuts Down Body Shamers Following Golden Globe Appearance

The singer and actress Selena Gomez addressed the comments about her weight gain following her appearance at the 2023 Golden Globe earlier this month.

The 30-year-old Gomez adorned the red carpet in a black Valentino gown with beautiful purple puffy sleeves.

It is not the first time that the Wolves singer is facing hatred for her her weight. She has been body shamed multiple times in her career.

"I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays,” the 'Monte Carlo' actress shared through an Instagram Live.

Gracie Elliott Teefey, Selena Gomez's younger half-sister was also part of the Instagram Live.

“But we don’t care,” the siblings said and laughed away the comments that criticized Selena's body image.

Back in April 2022 too, the singer had been a victim of body shaming. And to the various comments she had replied "“B***h, I am perfect the way I am. Moral of the story? Bye.". This reply finally had put an end to all discussions.

Selena Gomez was nominated for the first time at the Golden Globes for her role in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.
