Stephen A. Smith Apologizes To Rihanna For Saying ‘She Ain’t Beyoncé’

Stephen A. Smith recently appeared on Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show and commented about Rihanna’s upcoming performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Smith said that “she ain’t Beyoncé” and added that she was spectacular and eventually sending her the best wishes on becoming a mother.
The comment received a negative response and Smith clarified by saying that he mentioned Beyoncé due to her recent performance at the Super Bowl.
Rihanna’s fans eventually criticized Smith on social media. Following the negative response, Smith apologized to Rihanna in a video, saying that he will be more careful next time.
Smith mentioned in the video that it is his duty to speak as he has been paid for it. He described Rihanna as a superstar and that she is sensational and spectacular.
Smith mentioned that Rihanna is worthy to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. He added that he has been a fan of Beyoncé.
Smith added that he considers the performances of Beyoncé with Bruno Mars and Coldplay in 2013 and 2016 at the Super Bowl Halftime as two of her best of all time.
When Smith made the comment, audiences reacted differently to the same. A few of the praised him and there were others who booed.
