Evolution of Ana De Armas' Career

Ana Celia de Armas Caso, the Spanish and Cuban Actress, was born on April 30, 1988.

She started working in Cuba, where she starred in the love drama 'Una rose de Francia' (2006). 

At 18, she moved to Madrid, Spain. She was a cast member for six seasons of the well-known drama 'El Internado.'

Following her stint on television, she made a move to Los Angeles. She had English-speaking roles in 'War Dogs' (2016) and  'Knock Knock' (2015).

She also appeared in 'Exposed' (2016) and 'Hands of Stone' (2016). 

Her breakthrough role was as Joi, a holographic AI projection, in 'Blade Runner 2049' (2017).

She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress and won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of nurse Marta Cabrera in the 2019 thriller 'Knives Out.'

She had an arresting cameo as Agent Paloma in the James Bond movie 'No Time to Die' (2021).

After that, she received worldwide praise for portraying Marilyn Monroe in the biopic 'Blonde,' earning a Golden Globe Nomination.

De Armas will next star in the Apple TV+ film 'Ghosted' with Chris Evans and the John Wick spinoff 'Ballerina.'
