Punisher Actor Jon Bernthal Sparks 'Daredevil: Born Again' Return Rumors As Showtime Cancel His Upcoming Show

Jon Bernthal has gained recognition for his performances in two superhero shows released on Netflix that includes The Punisher and Daredevil.

Following the announcement of Daredevil: Born Again, fans are expecting to see Bernthal reprise his role but that won’t happen because of his busy schedule.

On the other hand, the popular series on Showtime, American Gigolo has been recently canceled and filming for Daredevil: Born Again will start shortly.

The speculations behind Bernthal appearing as Punisher have increased following the cancelation of American Gigolo. However, nothing has been confirmed as of now.

Speaking about the future of his much loved character, Bernthal said that that he is not sure of anything and is aware about his fans’ desire for a third season.

The first season of The Punisher was released on November 17, 2017 followed by the second season on January 18, 2019.

The Punisher received a positive response from critics and audiences and despite that the show was canceled on February 18, 2019.

Daredevil: Born Again was announced following the character’s cameo appearance on Spider-Man: No Way Home and it is scheduled to premiere in 2024 on Disney+.
