Elon Musk Introduces 2FA Logins Via Text Messages To Twitter Blue Subscribers Only

It is a complicated relationship between Twitter and Elon Musk like human beings.

Elon Musk has been introducing various policies and making changes at Twitter to boost revenue.

Twitter lost many advertisers when Elon Musk took over Twitter which led to huge loss of revenue resulting in mega mass layoffs.

In order to retain the revenue, he introduced a $8 per month subscription for people to enjoy certain exclusive features.

Now, Elon Musk has assured for the improvement of security for Twitter Blue subscribers by introducing two-factor authentication via text messages.

This new feature will not let their accounts get hacked. The non-subscribers who use the messages for the 2FA will not be able to do so. 

Twitter said that they introduced this system was introduced due to "bad actors" abusing and using the phone-number based 2FA

Elon Musk said that due to many phone companies scammed Twitter for $60 million/year due to fake 2FA SMS messages.
