The Bond franchise is not merely popular for 007 the ladies man and English spy but also the cool gadgets. James Bond would not be complete without a visit to Q. Here are ten weird gadgets in the Jamrs Bond films.
1. Wheelchair Rocket Launcher This killer Wheelchair Rocket Launcher was made by Q in 'Golden Eye' (1995) where Pierce Brosnan played James Bond.
2. Flamethrower Bagpipes These bagpipes in 'The World Is Not Enough' do not play just music but is also a flame throwing machine. However, this gadget was not used on screen.
3. Laser Beam Poloriod This ingenious camera was made in 'License To Kill' (1989) that can focus on the person in a lethal way.
4. Boombox Rocket Launcher "This really puts the boom in boombox." was what James Bond said in 'The Living Daylights' (1987) when Q built this musical rocket launcher.
5. Laser Gun Jet Pack These jet packs in 'Moonraker' (1979) are not so different from the video games we play and much likely the Star Wars weapons.
6. Fake Third Nipple It was hilarious when James Bond had to impersonate the villain's third nipple in 'The Man With The Golden Gun'. This was perhaps Q's weirdest prosthetic creation.
7. Radioactive Lint It was stranger when Q gave 007 a peice of lint in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' (1969). But the twist is the threads of fabric is radioactive enough to be detect location by a satalite.
8. Exploding Toothpaste This is another peculiar invention of Q in 'License To Kill' (1989) to turn daily necessities into explosive weapons.
9. Alligator Submarine This robotic imitation of an alligator in shape is a submairne transports James Bond in the 1983 'Octopussy' though they could have made it in a different shape.
10. Identigraph This sketch making device to identify a target raised chuckles when it made a large nosed face in 1981's 'For Your Eyes Only'.
