It has been recently revealed that Ed Sheeran and Adele have rejected invitations to perform at a concert on May 7 after the coronation of King Charles III.

A royal insider revealed that the King was interested to witness the pair performing at the celebration but that won’t happen for now.

Sheeran rejected the invitation as he had some scheduling issues with a show in the US state of Texas which will be held a night before the coronation day.

However, Adele has not revealed anything on why she rejected the invitation and a few have speculated that it could be a snub.

Daily Mail reported that Lionel Richie is almost confirmed to perform and the famous pop group Spice Girls is also expected to be seen at the event.

In case Spice Girls is confirmed, this will be their first performance since 2019 but the faces that would be seen in the current lineup has not been revealed so far.

King Charles III and his wife Camilla would be crowned as King and Queen of the UK on May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey and a concert will be held on May 7, 2023.

A source mentioned that a team has been hired to get the artists signed up who approached Sheeran and Adele but the replies were termed to be a big disappointment.
