Selena Gomez gained prominence for her role as Alex Russo in Disney Channel’s successful television series ‘Wizards of Waverly Place.’
It ran between 2007 to 2012 after that the cast and crew went on with their lives.
In the recent episode of the Wizards of Waverly Pod with Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise, the 30-year-old talked about her biggest mistake.
She said it was “not staying in touch” with her co-stars of that show.
“I felt ashamed of the decisions that I made,” she added. “I didn’t want you guys to see me in the state that I was in because a, you would have told me the truth which terrifies me, and b, I didn’t want to let you down.”
During the filming of the series, Gomez said she felt safe, a feeling whch she hasn't felt since then.
“that’s a really hard thing for me to feel and I know that you guys love me for me. … You guys genuinely loved me and that’s all I could have asked for. The unconditional trust and bond we had I miss so much.”
After the series concluded, Gomez went on to have a successful singing and acting career.
