Elon Musk Calls Out Twitter Executive Who Mocked Him For Asperger’s And Trashed Free Speech

The drama around Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of Twitter is nowhere near settling down. Recently, the Tesla boss reacted to a tweet which showed a secret recording of a Twitter executive mocking him and people with Asperger’s. He also criticized Elon Musk and his free speech ideology.

A Twitter executive mocking Musk was caught on camera and identified by Project Veritas during a sting operation arranged by the American conservative media group. The senior executive – Twitter Lead Client Partner Alex Martinez – mocked Musk for Asperger’s.

He said, “He (Musk) has Asperger’s…So, he’s special…I’m like, you’re (Mr Musk) special needs- you’re literally special needs…So, I can’t even take what you’re (Mr Musk) saying seriously.”

The video was tweeted by Benny Johnson and he tagged Elon Musk too. He wrote, “Twitter executive calling Elon Musk mentally handicapped, ‘special’ and saying he has ‘aspergers.’ This Twitter exec goes on to say that Twitter is ‘not here to give people free speech’ @elonmusk is going to want to see this one too.”

Martinez also criticised Musk’s views on free speech on the social media platform and said, “The rest of us who have been here believe in something that’s good for the planet and not just to give people free speech. People don’t know how to make a rational decision if you don’t put out – correct things that are supposed to be out in the public, right?”

Elon Musk’s Reaction To The Video

Musk, who had revealed that he suffered from the developmental disorder Asperger’s syndrome during his Saturday Night Live hosting gig last year, took to Twitter and responded by writing, “Twitter exec trashing free speech and mocking people with Asperger’s (sic).”

For now, Elon Musk has declared that the Twitter deal “cannot move forward” until the company gives clarity on the number of its fake or spam accounts.
