The annual Met Gala evening was off to a great start in New York. The star-studded carpet breathed Gilded Age as the theme was “In America: An Anthology Of Fashion”. After a lull last year, the Gala is back with a fashion storm. Musicians, celebrities, actors, politicians, and sports personalities brought their take on the Gilded era of New York when industrialization was peaking and wages skyrocketed with improved standards of living. Along with many stars, the two who shone brighter were Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner who presented themselves in two different interpretations of this year’s theme.
Kendall Jenner Made A Solo Entry At The Met Gala 2022 Carpet
There was quite a stir in the media ahead of the Met Gala that the supermodel will make a ball debut with her beau Devin Booker. However, Kendall Jenner dazzled on the carpet alone. Kendall never disappoints the fans and the audiences with her Red Carpet looks. This year for Met Gala she chose a Prada custom black tulle see-through top with a long and billowing, voluminous silk hand-pleated skirt beneath.
The highlight of her look was the bleached eyebrows breaking the monotony of the black dress. She teased us with the bleached eyebrows before her appearance in a picture captured by Tyrell Hampton. This spring, Jenner went for a rufescent hair which continued on the Gala carpet.
Last year, Kendall arrived in an iconic Givenchy, crystal-studded work gown which the audience was gawking at. It took over 2,500 hours and 30 different beaders to complete. At the 2019 Met Gala, for the Camp: Notes On Fashion theme, when she hit the red carpet in a custom Versace ensemble complete with bright orange plumage.
Jenner made her debut at the fashion Superbowl in 2014 wearing a custom blush mermaid-style Topshop gown and 82 carats of Chopard diamonds. In 2015, she attended the event wearing a custom design by then-Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa.
Kylie Jenner Strut The Carpet In A Bridal Gown With Her Twist To It!
After welcoming a baby boy with Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner made an appearance at the Met Gala. The Cosmetics mogul shared a glimpse of her outfit via an Instagram story where her daughter was in a playful mood stroking her white gown. Kylie Jenner stunned the Ball attendees with the Off-White bridal gown with a billowing skirt. She adorned a white corset with a translucent panel and a veil fixed to a baseball hat. Kylie went with her twist on the “Gilded Glamor” theme.
Kylie Jenner appeared, post the birth of her baby boy, for the first time for the premiere of The Kardashians in a tight, white-latex gown. Coperni designed the dress with knotted and asymmetrical detailing. Kylie was vulnerable post-pregnancy. She shared, “This experience for me personally has been a little harder than with my daughter [Stormi]. It’s not easy mentally, physically, spiritually, it’s just crazy.
She continued, “And yeah, I didn’t just want to get back to life without saying that because I think we can look on the internet — for other moms going through it right now — we can go on the internet, and it might look a lot easier for other people, and put the pressure on us, but it hasn’t been easy for me.”
