Weekends With Adele, Adele’s Las Vegas residency, has been in limbo for a few months, but fans may soon get a behind-the-scenes peek at how the show is coming together. The “Easy On Me” singer has joined hands with Kim Gavin, the artistic director behind every ‘Take That’ tour for the past 30 years, to reinvent the performance.

Adele has been working on the Vegas residency with Es Devlin, who had previously designed her 25 tours, as well as shows for Beyonce and U2. According to reports, Adele and Devlin had a falling out following the postponement of her Vegas residency in January. Meanwhile, Adele has been filming the residency concert and the events building up to it with a documentary team. As per Telegraph‘s source, “Footage of the Es blow-up and the total implode of the production exists.” However, it is unknown if this material will be included in the rumored documentary.

The 24-date program was supposed to premiere in January, but it was canceled owing to rising COVID-19 rates, purportedly. Adele, on the other hand, blamed the delay on “a lot of delays” in acquiring supplies and “limited manpower.” Earlier this year, Adele went on The Graham Norton Show and said, “I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something together in time. I regret that I kept going until that late in the day. It just would have been a really half-assed show, and I can’t do that. People will see straight through me, up on stage being like, ‘She doesn’t want to be doing this.’ And, I’ve never done anything like that in my life.’”

According to reports, Weekends With Adele is coming this summer.
