    Amber Heard To Be Recast In ‘Aquaman 2’? Actress Responds To Popular Claim

    So far, ‘Aquaman‘ has proven to be DC’s most successful solo movie. The Jason Momoa-led sequel has definitely caught the attention of millions of fans who are awaiting the release of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’. But, the excitement has somehow been overshadowed by the appearance of Amber Heard as Mera in the movie. Fans seem to have turned against the actress because of her and Johnny Depp’s defamation trial, which was won by the latter.

    After the long defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp, Amber Heard lost half of her fanbase. The trial was about Amber’s alleged defamatory 2018 op-ed about facing domestic abuse. The jury ruled in Depp’s favor. During the course of the trial, fans started signing petitions to have Heard removed from ‘Aquaman 2‘ and brutally criticized her on social media. Fans are certainly trying their level best to boycott Amber Heard as the petition attained millions of signatures.

    In the wake of last month’s verdict, that figure has exploded to more than 4.5 million signatures, with organizers setting a new goal of gaining support from 6 million people who believe that Heard should be removed from the film on ethical grounds.” a report revealed.

    Apparently, the ‘Aquaman And the Lost Kingdom’ team has cut Amber Heard’s screentime. Accordingly, some other cast members will fill in for the scene. Just Jared noted, “Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard‘s role after screen testing the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman.”

    Actress Denies Being “Cut” From The Film

    According to Amber’s spokesperson, “The rumor mill continues as it has from Day One – inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane.”

    Recently, ‘Aquaman 2‘ release date changed from December 16, 2022, to March 17, 2023. So, that gave a hint to fans that it might be because of the replacement of the Heard’s character Mera. Now, let’s just wait and see which actress finally plays Mera.
