Amber Heard’s career path is looking rocky. Ever since Amber Heard wrote an op-ed claiming that Johnny Depp is a wife beater, her career has been going down the drain. People are mostly supporting Johnny Depp amid the ongoing trial.
Johnny Depp has sued his ex-wife for $50 million dollars in court for defamation. Every week the trial keeps on taking new turns. Currently, fans are pressuring Warner Bros. to remove Amber from “Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom”.
Why Fans Want To Remove Amber Heard From “Aquaman 2”?
Fans have clearly expressed that they want to replace Amber Heard in the upcoming ‘Aquaman 2’. The major reason behind this petition that fans cite is that “Johnny lost all the work and his reputation after Amber’s fake allegations but she did not receive any repercussions even after she was caught lying about most of the things.” The petition to remove her originally began with the commencement of the film’s production. The petition is currently live at Change.org. Currently, there are 4.2 million signatures and it seems like in no time it might exceed 5 million signatures.
The creator of the petition wrote, “Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp. In his $50 million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many incidents of domestic abuse that he suffered at the hands of his (then) wife Amber Heard, including one incident where she punched him twice in the face and another where she shattered his finger with a vodka bottle, and his finger had to be surgically reattached. He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life.”
Warner Bros’ Reply To The Petition
Warner Bros. has still not said anything about their decision to remove Heard from “Aquaman 2”. As the number of signatures increases they finally have to pay attention to the public’s wishes. They have already said that Heard is going to get only ten minutes of screen time in the current movie. Some of her scenes have already been deleted.
Fans are hoping if the petition becomes stronger day by day then Warner Bros. just might have to finally remove her. As days go by the trial keeps on damaging her reputation more and more. Fans are not happy with Heard being a part of the franchise anymore.
