“Death Is Beautiful”: Mike Tyson Wants To Be A ‘Guinea Pig’ On Psychedelic Drug Trials

Mike Tyson in an interview said that he would be the first one to put up his hand or stand first in the line if it has anything to do with a drug trial. The boxing icon said he would volunteer for psychedelic drug trials which is purportedly starting in the United Kingdom. In an interview with Graham Hancock, Tyson’s claims landed as bombshells, however, none of his fans seems to be surprised by their icon’s psychedelic fanaticism.

The former heavy weight champion who already faced a near death experience after using toad venom, did not seem to budge from his drug craze. He even went a step further and called death “beautiful”. Tyson’s determination to be a guinea pig for the DMTX drug trial might ablaze many of his fans. Hence, reader caution is needed if you are a die-hard fan of Mike Tyson.

Mike Tyson has claimed that he would be willing to be subject for experiment as part of a new trial for a psychedelic drug called DMTX. “It’s not been widely publicised yet but it’s called DMTX,” Tyson told British expert and author Graham Hancock. “As you know DMT is a quick journey, it’s 12, 15 minute journey. A rocket ship to the other side of reality.”

“They have found a technology to basically deliver DMT by drip to volunteers. And those volunteers are making extended journeys in the DMT realm. They are coming back with the same observations,” Tyson noted. N,N-Dymethyltriptamine (DMT) is considered as one of the world’s most powerful hallucinogens along with other known drugs such as LSD and psilocybin.

Hancock explained that these journeys could last for about an hour and stressed that the Imperial college in London could be interested in discussing more details with Tyson. “I could be one of those guinea pigs,” Tyson added. “I would love to be a guinea pig for that.”

As of yet, it’s unclear if Imperial College London is conducting said trials. However they have done numerous studies on DMT, including one in 2019 that found that ayahuasca — a plant-based hallucinogen whose active ingredient is DMT — can alter our brain waves in an effect akin to “dreaming while awake.”

Nonetheless, Hancock appeared familiar with the research, stating: “It’s like they are mapping another world. It doesn’t wear off, it goes straight into the bloodstream and doesn’t wear off,” the ‘Ancient Apocalypse’ host added. “And it lasts for about an hour.”

This would be far from the boxer’s first foray into the world of psychedelics. In an interview with Muscle and Health magazine in August, Tyson claimed that he takes magic mushrooms and weed before fights because it tames his infamous ring rage.

The fight icon also made headlines in 2021 after claiming that he “died” and was “reborn” after taking 5-MeO-DMT (5-methoxy-N, N-dimethyltryptamine), a powerful psychoactive compound derived from Sonoran Desert toad venom. Tyson revealed he tried 5-MeO-DMT — also known as the “god molecule” on a “dare” several years ago when he was 100 pounds overweight and hooked on drugs and alcohol.

“In my trips, I’ve seen that death is beautiful, Tyson described at Wonderland, a Miami conference dedicated to psychedelics, micro-dosing and medicine. “Life and death both have to be beautiful, but death has a bad rep.” “The toad has taught me that I’m not going to be here forever. There’s an expiration date,” added the brawler, who has reportedly tripped 53 times — sometimes multiple times per day.
