Did Taylor Swift Name Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively’s Fourth Child?

Taylor Swift might be a phenomenal artist, songwriter and performer on screen and on stage, but behind the stardom, she’s also a phenomenal aunt to BFFs Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds‘ four kids. As Lively has often admired Swift’s close relationship with her kids, Swift is also known for giving the three kids their celebrity moments in her music by mentioning them in her songs, which kind of became Ryan and Blake’s way of revealing their kids’ names to the world.

As the couple welcomed their fourth child last year, they have kept the baby’s gender and name private. Is Taylor Swift going to name Ryan and Blake’s fourth child? Here’s what daddy Ryan has to say.

As Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively welcomed their fourth child last year, fans have been eager to know more about the baby. But the couple has maintained privacy when it comes to the gender and the name of the youngest Lively-Reynolds offspring. But if there’s one person who can give fans a peek into it, it’s probably Taylor Swift.

While Reynolds was on Today Show, he was asked about the name of their fourth child, and he promptly responded that he’s still waiting for Swift to namedrop the kid in one of her songs, as she had previously done for their three older kids.

Savannah Guthrie asked Ryan if the baby’s name has been dropped in Swift’s new album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, which does, in fact, name drop a lot of celebrities, and a few unknown names.

“Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics!” Guthrie said, alluding to Swift previously namedropping his kids’ names in her album.

“We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is, and I’ll say this: We’re still waiting.” Reynolds joked, then added, “She’s a prolific writer—I mean, what are we doing here? And ‘lazy’ is not a word I’d attach to Taylor.”

While she put out ‘Folklore‘ during the pandemic, in one of her songs, ‘Betty‘, she sings about longing for a girl named Betty, from the point of view of someone named James. She also mentions a third girl Inez who seems to have added fuel to a blooming romance of the two.

Much later it was revealed that James, Inez and Betty are the names of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ three kids and this was their creative way of revealing the names to the world. James himself has also been featured in another one of Taylor’s songs. The intro to her song ‘Gorgeous‘ where you can hear a baby say the word ‘gorgeous‘ is actually James.

Blake Lively has often spoken about Swift’s close relationship with their kids, and how fabulous she is as an aunt. Reynolds once revealed that the kids weren’t aware that Swift is a huge star. “And then they went to a concert one day and were like, ‘Ohhhhh, this isn’t a hobby,'” he said, adding that listening to Taylor is like “a religion in our house.

In fact, I’m not making this up. We are having a Taylor Swift Midnights dance party in, uh, right after this. It’s Sunday. We’re headed straight to the porch where we’re doing a full dance number set to Midnights, swear words included,” the star had said during a previous interview.
