    Ellen DeGeneres Bids Emotional Goodbye To Her Talk Show After 19 Seasons

    Ellen DeGeneres said a teary-eyed goodbye to her successful talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show“. The comedian had the courage to come out on television and her chatshow first aired in the year 2003. Over the years, it became a hit and won the hearts of fans. Soon, the charismatic Ellen became their family. Now, after 19 seasons, the end has come for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.

    Ellen DeGeneres: “I hope I’ve inspired you to be yourself”

    The show which began in 2003, ended on an emotional note. Ellen said that the show “forever changed my life.” She even addressed the fact that she was not able to say “gay” when the show began as gay marriage was not legal at that time. But now, she can make references to her wife, Portia de Rossi, all the time. “Now I say ‘wife’ all the time,” she said. Fans became very emotional as Ellen continued.

    When the show first began, very few were in the favour of letting it run. It had very few supporters. Ellen promised her beloved fans that she won’t be gone too long and this was not the end of their time with her. “Today is not the end of a relationship, it’s more of a little break,” she said. “You can see other talk shows now.” Her goodbye note to her talk show this Thursday made fans sad and extremely gloomy. Ellen, in the end, even thanked her staffs and producers. “If I’ve done anything in the past 19 years, I hope I’ve inspired you to be yourself – your true, authentic self, ” she added.

    The Last Day Of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

    The last day of the chatshow included a very special program for the fans. There was a clip that included moments from the total 3,200 episodes of the show. Ellen thanked the fans in the clip for watching her show for the first time and even included some of the highs of her career, such as when she hosted the Oscars and received the Mark Twain Prize and Presidential Medal of Freedom.

    Among the guests was Jennifer Aniston, who was the first guest of the series. She gave Ellen a welcome mat that read “Thanks for the memories.” In the last week, even Oprah visited the show and explained how a talk show slowly turns into a family. Even Billie Eilish and Pink were present there. “You help people find their joy,” said Pink, and also gave a performance of a lifetime.

    There were no controversial topics mentioned on the last day. There was no mention of Ellen’s public apology in 2020. “The Kelly Clarkson Show” is going to take Ellen’s place now on the network.
