Jennifer Aniston listed all of the accomplishments that her father John Aniston has made in his illustrious career in television, demonstrating why he deserves the 2022 Daytime Emmy’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
On Friday’s episode of ‘Days of Our Lives‘, the ‘Friends‘ star made a special appearance via video chat to pay tribute to her father, John Aniston, who has played the role of Victor Kiriakis on the show for more than four decades. Suzanne Rogers, who also appeared in the show as John’s co-star, provided some advice before Jennifer came on screen.
Jennifer Aniston Honors Dad John Aniston As He Receives Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Award
Jennifer Aniston appeared virtually at the 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday night in honor of her father, John Aniston. The award for John Aniston was for his role as Victor Kiriakis on ‘Days of Our Lives’. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award during the presentation. Her father’s success was commended by Aniston.
The actress stated in a video message: “This is truly a special moment for me. It’s an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it’s also a chance to recognize the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad.”
She further added, “For over 30 years, his dedication to that show has gained him respect and admiration of his fellow actors, deep friendships, and thrilled millions of fans around the world. His career is literally the definition of lifetime achievement.”

After a video montage of John Aniston’s TV highlights from his remarkable career was shown at this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards, the audience gave him a thunderous round of applause for his memorable career. During an interview in 1990, Jennifer’s father talked highly of her acting abilities, even before ‘Friends’ had ever aired. Regarding her inherent comedic ability, he had said, “Her sense of humor is razor-sharp. Her greatest advantage is her ability to see the big picture.”
Eric Martsolf On What He Learned From Jennifer Aniston’s Dad
‘Days of Our Lives’ actor Eric Martsolf revealed the finest advice he ever received from John himself ahead of the big night in an interview. “John Aniston is my grandfather on ‘Days of Our Lives’. He’s receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award [at this year’s Daytime Emmys]. He said the coolest thing to me,” Martsolf remembered. “I had one of those days where I was bitching about the amount of time that we were on set. I was just having one of those days, like, ‘Oh, we have a lot to do today, John.’ And he’s like, ‘Beats working for a living.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, you’re right!'”
