Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial is making the headlines in all of the media. The 58-years-old actor is suing the “Aquaman” actress following the 2018 op-ed published in Washington Post for $50million. Allegedly Johnny Depp claimed that his ex-wife is falsely accusing him of domestic violence. Although the op-ed nowhere signifies Depp’s name according to him it is very obvious. On the other hand, Amber Heard counter sued her ex-husband for $100 million for defaming her and calling her a liar.
Recent testimonies during the trial revealed many personal secrets of the couple. Ever since the allegation, Johnny Depp’s film career was facing a huge downfall. Johnny said this case has cost him “everything” but it seems like that’s not the case anymore. Johnny Depp is rumored to be making his post-trial film comeback as a cast of “Beetlejuice 2”.
Johnny Depp Is Back On The Track
Recently, millions of fans have flooded all the social media platforms with their heartfelt wishes. The reason was that they noticed Johnny Depp’s name popping up on the call sheet when they searched for the upcoming “Beetlejuice 2” cast. The star cast of the movie will also include Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. They will be reprising their roles from director Tim Burton’s 1988 original.
The rumours started making rounds ahead of the final leg in Depp’s defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard. The fist part of the film was released in 1998. It featured a dead married couple played by Alec Baldwin, 64, and Geena Davis, 66. Their gosts kept haunting an irritating family out of their dream home.
Fans are overjoyed to see Depp in the follow-up sequel. One said on social media “thrilled to see Johnny Depp added to the cast of Beetlejuice 2”. Another exclaimed: “I’m happy for Johnny!! Robert Downey Jr wants Johnny for the next Sherlock Holmes!”
But some other fans thought differently. One said “So you people did a Google search for Beetlejuice 2, saw his name pop up, and think that means he got cast in it? LMAO! I can see why you stand with him.”
Ex Winona Ryder Stands By Johnny Depp
In July 1990, Johnny Depp tied the knot with Winona Ryder who played goth Lydia Deetz in “Beetlejuice”. She has been the backbone of her ex-fiance, Depp, throughout his legal battles with Amber Heard. She has expressed her experience with the actor being “wildly different” than the allegations made by Miss Heard.
Ryder said in court in July 2020: “I truly and honestly only know him as a really good man – an incredibly loving, extremely caring guy who was so very protective of me and the people that he loves, and I felt so very, very safe with him. I do not want to call anyone a liar but from my experience of Johnny, it is impossible to believe that such horrific allegations are true. I find it extremely upsetting, knowing him as I do.”
Ryder is hopeful for the upcoming movie “Beetlejuice 2”. She declared “I’m in! I’m definitely excited and I’m really hopeful that it’ll happen. The only way we would do it is if everything was perfect and we had all the people – obviously Michael and obviously Tim.”
Finally, Johnny Depp is reuniting with director Tim Burton who has cast Depp in 8 of his films. The upcoming “Beetlejuice 2” is said to release in 2025.
