There is a respite for the business mogul Kim Kardashian as the Los Angeles Superior Court cleared her name from the Blac Chyna defamation trial. In 2017, the rapper alleged that the Kardashian clan has used their influence and power to halt the filming of the second season of Rob & Chyna.
Ciani, Blac Chyna’s attorney, confirmed in 2020 that she will take the Kardashian clan to court for “defamation, intentional interference with contract, and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage.” However, SKIMS founder is found not guilty of defamation.
Kim Kardashian Is Not Devoid Of Other Charges
On Tuesday, Kim Kardashian appeared in court for her testimony. Chyna’s solicitor introduced texts exchanged between Kim and the Producer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians during the trial. As per the texts, Kimberly did not want Chyna to be on the show.
Kim testified about the texts and the 2016 violent skirmish between Chyna and Rob Kardashian Jr. The court on Friday announced that “no statement” made by Kim was “alleged to be defamatory” against the complainant.
Blac’s team wanted to substantiate the claim that Jenners and Kardashians- Khloé Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner- played a “responsible part” in defaming and interfering in “Rob & Chyna” fame’s life. The jury referred to the evidence including emails, and texts from the allegedly accused to executives at E!
After considering all the evidence, lawyers’ defense, and records, the court agreed that there is “no” substantial “evidence” of Kim being a “responsible party” in the defamation of Blac Chyna. However, she remains ‘guilty until proven’ in alleged interference with a contract.
