Perrie and Alex seemed to be on vacation in the photos, as he got down on one knee in front of a beach backdrop – with the sun setting in the background. He couldn’t have chosen a better moment to propose. The carousel post’s last image displayed Perrie’s gorgeous engagement ring, and indeed, the diamond is gorgeous.
Her announcement received millions of likes, as fans and celebrity friends alike swarmed to the comments section to congratulate the couple, with Perrie’s Little Mix colleagues showering her with love.

Edwards was previously engaged to Zayn Malik. The singer and the former One Direction member split in 2015. About the breakup, she had revealed in Little Mix’s book ‘Our World‘, “It was horrible, the worst time of my life. A four-year relationship, and two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
