Rodrigo first started her career in “High school Musical” After that, she released her single “Drivers License” that put her on the map of the music industry.

    Sunday, May 15 was a big night for artist Olivia Rodrigo. The singer won a total of seven Billboard Awards. According to Billboard, the incredible night made for “one of the strongest showings by a new artist in BBMA history.” The artist could not be present as she is on tour and her next stage appearance is on May 17 in Phoenix.

    She won the award for ‘Top New Artist,’ ‘Top Female Artist,’ and ‘Top Hot 100 Artist’. Her album “Sour” won ‘Top Billboard 200 Album’. Along with that she also won in the categories ‘Top streaming Songs Artist,’ ‘Top Radio Songs Artist,’ and ‘Top Billboard Global 200 Artist’. Even though she lost in the Top Artist category to Drake, it marked a huge evening for the star. Rodrigo fans are at the top of the moon after the singer’s record breaking achievement.

    Apart from Billboard, Olivia Rodrigo won three of her seven nominations for her “Sour” album at ‘The Grammys’ this year. It was the artist’s first time at The Grammys. She took home shiny new Grammys for ‘Best Pop Solo Performance,’ ‘Best New Artist,’ and ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’

    In her acceptance speech, she said, “When I was nine years old, I told my mom I was going to be an Olympic gymnast even though I could barely do a cartwheel, and she thought I was joking, and I got super defensive. So the next week when I told her I was going to win a Grammy she was very supportive, even though I’m sure she thought it was just a little kid pipe dream.”

    She further added, “I want to thank my mom and my dad for being equally as proud of me for winning a Grammy as they were when I learned how to do a back walkover. This for you guys, and because of you guys.”
