The last in the trilogy, Spider-Man: No Way Home is set for a re-release. One of the prominent characters in the ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy was Ned Leeds aka Jacob Batalon. In the films, the Spider-Man nerds hoped for a transformation of Leeds into ‘Hobgoblin.’ However, in the signature Marvel style, the character arc did not adhere to the original comic.
Recently, Jacob posted a picture holding a cartoon figure which has stirred conversations on social media. Jacob played Ned Leeds in five of the Marvel films debuting in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming.’ Now, it is a point of contention what to make out of the picture-making rounds on social media.

Jacob Batalon Posed With An Hobgoblin Action Figure Stirring The Conversation
The MCU star Jacob aka Ned Leeds posed in a store holding an action figure teasing about the ‘Hobgoblin’ transformation. In the film, there was a fleeting, rumored reference to the comic book character of Leeds. Ned decides not to harm Peter after becoming aware of the Tobey Maguire variant story.
The debut of Ned Leeds took place in Marvel Comics #18 in 1964. They etched as a reporter and a love interest of one of Peter Parker’s exes, Betty Bryant. In the comics, Ned transforms into Hobgoblin, but later we come to know that Peter and Betty confirm that one of the actual Hobgoblins, Jason Macendale, is the culprit behind the manipulation of Leeds.
During an interview, Jacob addressed the Hobgoblin rumors, “From all my years of working for Marvel, I feel like I’ve learned to just not say anything. I can’t really speak on things and then say something that might actually be true and then I ruin something, you know what I mean?”

I'm totally fine with them reinventing Hobgoblin if they can tell a compelling story with Ned & Peter.

Well if he no longer remembers Peter then he no longer remembers the talk he had with Tobey about his friend turning on him. He just knows Spider-Man
