Chris Pratt is busy promoting his recent film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3‘. In an interview with Page Six, he talked about how he has received hate for being open about his faith.

I sure do but that’s nothing new, that’s nothing new, you know?”, he said. “If I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world. That’s John 15:18 through 20.

He then made a reference to Jesus Christ. “That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him, too.” The actor earlier talked about how he often visits church and that’s where he also met his current wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.

James Gunn’s tenure with Marvel came to an end with the third installment of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ But Pratt has said that he wants to return to the franchise if a better choice is in front of him.

“It would really be important to honor what he’s (James Gunn) done in the first three films and to honor what the fans have grown to love about the character and not simply do it because people might show up to pay for it, you know?” he said.

He added, “I don’t want to be cynical in the approach and if that’s the case, I just wouldn’t do it at all. So maybe down the road if something makes sense I would do it but it would really have to check a lot of the right boxes.” Earlier, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista said that they won’t be reprising their roles in the MCU.
