The surprise announcements are keeping the fans tied to the Fast and Furious franchise. Last month, Aquaman star Jason Momoa joined the franchise. However, a new addition to the family is announced by veteran member Vin Diesel. Taking the news to social media, he announced Brie Larson gets on board for the second-last installment of the franchise.
Vin Diesel Announced The Addition Of Brie Larson
A few hours back Vin Diesel took to his social media to announce this special addition to the family. As the successful franchise is all set for its tenth installment, he revealed that the Captain Marvel actress will hop on this action drama franchise.
Vin shared a joyous picture of both. He described Larson as a “profound soul,” Diesel added, “Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to your self “ that’s Captain Marvel”. The picture exudes love and respect.
He also teased a little about her character without giving much. Vin added, “What you don’t see, however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology.”
Apart from her, another superstar who will be joining the franchise is Jason Momoa. Last month, an official announcement was made about the same. He will be playing an antagonist in the new installment.
The rest of the cast will be as from the earlier parts. The cast includes Tyrese Gibson, rapper Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Jason Momoa, and Daniel Melchior. The film will be directed by Justin Lin, who has been a part of the other five installments of the film. The film is set to release on May 19, 2023.
Brie Larson Will Also Reprise Her Role In The Upcoming The Marvels
The Oscar-winning actress has other projects in her bag that she will star in. There are some projects where she will be working on the direction and production capacity. The biggest project will be The Marvels, a sequel to her much loved Captain Marvel.
The film will be directed by Nia DaCosta. It will also star her fellow super-power associates including Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. It will be her fifth time collaborating with Samuel L. Jackson. The film is slated to release on November 11, 2022.
She will also star in two Apple TV+ projects namely Lessons in Chemistry and an untitled CIA drama. Lessons in Chemistry is a science, period drama that Brie will also work on as Executive Producer. The untitled CIA drama is an adaptation of a memoir by CIA agent Amaryllis Fox. She will don her director hat again with Lady Business Business which she will co-produce as well.
