The annual Met Ball evening was off to a great start in New York. The star-studded carpet breathed Gilded Age. After a lull last year, the ball is back with a fashion storm with musicians, celebrities, actors, politicians, and sports personalities bringing their take on the Gilded era of New York. The aim of the theme “In America: Anthology of Fashion” is to channel the 1870-1890 era with a twist to Gilded Glamor and white tie attire. As per Vogue, the attendees must “embody the grandeur and perhaps, the dichotomy of Gilded Age New York.” The parents-to-be Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas flaunted their interpretations of the theme. It was not just the outfit that was flaunted. Yes! We are talking about the baby bump.
Joe Jonas And Sophie Turner Sizzled The Red Carpet In Louis Vuitton
There were many couple goals moments on the Red Carpet, but the Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas moment was the most memorable one. The reason being is the father and mother-to-be had a parents’ night out at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for the annual Met Gala on Monday evening.
Sophie Turner strutted her baby bump in style with Louis Vuitton. The Game Of Thrones star donned a black, embroidered long sleeve gown paired with mixed white-gold-diamond earrings from the label’s Jewelry collection. And the pop singer popped in a womenswear whitetail jacket and black and white lace top from Louis Vuitton’s latest collection.
Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of Women’s Wear at Louis Vuitton brought the circular fashion back by designing and styling for the fashion’s most important evening. He expressed, “There is no better feeling than to know your designs will live on. While my role as an artistic director is to constantly create, the chance to return to previous collections and designs for this year’s Met Gala was joyful.”
The couple married in an intimate ceremony in 2019 in Las Vegas. They had a grand celebration later in France. In 2020, they welcomed their first child, Willa. Though keeping the pregnancy and their child away from the media galore, the stars do share some stories during interviews. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, too, welcomed their first child Malti via surrogacy.
