Who Is Julius Tennon?
Viola Davis met actor Julius Tennon in 1999 on the set of the CBS series ‘City of Angels’, and they connected immediately. Just weeks before meeting him, Davis had prayed for an ideal man in her life and listed down qualities she wanted in the man. Three weeks later, she found her man.
Tennon has appeared in several films like ‘On Up’, ‘The Simone Biles Story’, ‘Friday Night Lights’, ‘Fame’, and ‘Batman v. Superman‘, etc.
Apart from films, he has also acted in television shows like ‘Criminal Minds’ and ‘Lonesome Dove. Born and brought up in Austin, Texas, Julius received a football scholarship from the University of Tulsa and was also the first African American student of theatre.

The ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ actress always prayed for a good man. “Someone who’s maybe been an actor who understands the artistic community, someone who goes to church and loves God. I said, ‘If you give me that, I’ll start going to church, God,‘” she shared.
Right after meeting Julius, Davis started going to church regularly. They got married in 2003 and in 2011, adopted a daughter named Genesis after years of battle with infertility. Genesis executive produced a short film, ‘A Kids Story‘, at the tender age of eight. Well, she certainly takes after her star parents.
