Johnson is easily one of the most successful actors in Hollywood right now. He is also a very successful businessperson; he owns a production house, a tequila brand, an energy drink brand, and a football team.

The professional wrestler-turned-actor has often talked about his interest in running for president. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Johnson finally made things clear.

When asked if running for president is “off the table,” Johnson responded with a yes. “I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy,” he said. “And that’s the most important thing to me, is being a daddy, especially during this time — this critical time in my daughter’s lives.”

He continued, “I know what it is like to be on the road and to be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years. My number one priority is my daughters, sure CEO sounds great. But the number one thing I want to be is daddy.”

Mark Calaway (mostly known as The Undertaker) had earlier said that Johnson could succeed in politics and that “he can be the uniter that people are looking for.”

In 2016, the ‘Fast Five‘ actor expressed his interest to join the White House and said that he would “consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted.”

Fans of the actor also supported his vision to reach to the Oval Office as a 2021 poll revealed that 46% of US adults would back his campaign.

I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club — but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people,” Johnson had responded to the results via social media.
