The real name of the American electronic music producer and DJ is Christopher Comstock.
After a lot of requests, The DJ from Philadelphia, United States, finally got convinced to give an interview about the genres of music he likes, although in real life Marshmello is not really fond of interviews. During the same, he said “I came from electronic music, and now I’m jumping into hip hop, so there was obviously a tonne of people like Marshmallow? Really? what? In the beginning, there was definitely some resistance, but I just kept at it.”

But the DJ did not give a chance to the fans to stay in dark and answered all the questions with his tweet in 2017. “I don’t take my helmet off because I don’t want or need fame. I’m genuinely trying to create something positive for people to connect with,” he wrote.

The signature helmet is pretty good-looking and unique. It features blobby Xs for eyes along with an upturned smile. During an interaction with Forbes, Marshmello’s manager shared his thoughts about the helmet. He said, “For us, it was, how do you create a brand that is accessible to everybody, that everyone can be and relate to?”
Shalizi further added, “The concept we had in mind with Mello was, ‘how do you create a universal character?’”
However, Marshmello has done a tonne of fake reveals previously. But the one out-of-the-box was him pretending to be Shawn Mendes at the 2018 IHeartRadio Music Video Awards. Despite not revealing his identity, the musician has earned huge fame all over the world.
