After ‘Avengers: Endgame’, all the fan-favorite characters like Robert Downey as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, retired from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see a glimpse of them in another MCU project. After the concept of the multiverse was introduced, it was like a ray of hope for fans for the return of the departed characters.
Now, it looks like fans just might not have to wait so long as the directors of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ discussed the possibility of casting Chris Evans as an important MCU character. The actor himself has also expressed his wish to revisit Marvel. But, this time as a different character.
Russo Brothers Think Chris Evans Would Be Great As Wolverine
Currently, MCU’s upcoming take on ‘X-Men’ is the talk of the town. The movie will include top-notch characters from past movies like Cyclops, Storm, and especially Wolverine. ‘Rocketman’ star Taron Egerton and Daniel Radcliffe of ‘Harry Potter’ fame have expressed their interest in the role of Wolverine.
But, the directors of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, Anthony and Joe Russo, seem to think that Chris Evans will be perfect for the role of Wolverine. They said, “Evans has incredible range and great physicality, and he’s real good at body control. He’s an incredible actor. I don’t mean this in a bad way, but he’s nothing like Captain America. Steve Rogers is very controlled and quiet, understated. Chris is energetic and funny and charismatic, and he brings a lot of energy to set. I’d love to see him do something like Wolverine.”
Evans Is Interested In A Particular MCU Role
The actor told the eager fans that he wants to return to Marvel, but he wants to explore a character other than Captain America. The actor already teased how it’ll be amazing to return to his role of Johnny Storm in ‘Fantastic Four’ movies. The thought came to his mind after Marvel’s multiverse brought many characters from other worlds in ‘Doctor Strange 2’.
The actor already has two key roles from MCU under his belt. After that, whether he’ll still be interested in taking the role of the Wolverine is still a question. But considering it’s Marvel, we all know nothing is impossible.

Chris Evans is Captain America. That’s it! You want a Wolverine? Get Taron Egerton”. Another wrote, “Sounds interesting but there’s just one little problem….. HES FREAKING CAPTAIN AMERICA LOL”.
