James Gunn the director of Guardians of The Galaxy 3 has shared that they have almost completed the filming of this volume. It is well known that the film is very much awaited by Marvel fans and Gunn has shared that the movie will be released in theaters in 2023.
James also shared that the movie is all set to create new records. The record that the film will be breaking is that of the most makeup appliances created for a single production. This record was earlier held by The Grinch. Regular updates about the production of the movie are shared by Gunn and the film’s cast.
James Gunn Shares A Throwback Photo Of Her Mother

Gunn shared a 2016 throwback photo of her mother with actress Laura Haddock who portrayed the role of Peter Quill’s mother in the first edition of Guardians of The Galaxy. James shared that Meredith Quill’s character in the movie was inspired by James’ mother, Leota Gunn.
Following, the Instagram post, someone in the comments section asked if Guardians of The Galaxy has a role planned for actor Nathan Fillion. In reply to the comment, James said that it is not possible now as only 8 days of shooting is left. Implying, that the shoot of the Guardians of The Galaxy is about to get completed.
What Is Nathan Fillion’s Connection To MCU?
Earlier we have already put emphasis on the first photo of Gunn’s Instagram Post. But then, the second photo is that of James and the actor, Gregg Henry. One can see the duo posing ahead of Nathan Fillion’s poster. Furthermore, Nathan Fillion’s poster is for a Tony Stark Biopic in MCU.
Will Poulter as Adam Warlock and Peacemaker star Chukwudi Iwuji in an undisclosed role are among the new additions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Although according to fans, Iwuji could be playing the Marvel villain The High Evolutionary.
The release Of Guardians of The Galaxy is tentatively planned for 5th May 2023.
