If the agreement goes through Pugh will portray Princess Irulan Corrino. In the book, Princess gets romantically involved with Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides. It is a crucial position, and one that might expand as “Dune” expands farther into writer Frank Herbert’s literary world. Meanwhile, Pugh is also in talks to feature in the next Madonna biography. Which might start filming as Dune Part 2 wraps up. Pugh recently appeared in the Disney Plus series ‘Hawkeye,’ reprising her role as Yelena Romanoff.

Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer,’ will also star Florence. She will act alongside Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Matt Damon. Moreover, she will be in Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ and Sebastian Lelio’s ‘The Wonder.’

Dune is Denis Villeneuve’s massive remake of Frank Herbert’s 1965 sci-fi epic book. It depicts the narrative of a pivotal war among Houses Atreides and Harkonnen through the eyes of a young Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet). Along with Chalamet, the film features Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, and Rebecca Ferguson, among others. Dune was an economic and critical success in 2021, prompting Warner Bros. to greenlight a sequel just a few days after the film’s cinematic run. Dune earned approximately $400 million worldwide and received ten Academy Award nominations, including best film and best adapted screenplay.

The significant controversy took place when Villeneuve was overlooked as the best director. Villeneuve has been outspoken about his Dune work in recent months. The first part of Dune focused on Paul being drawn into the Arrakis conflict, perfecting his Bene Gesserit skill sets, and resuming his rightful position as the eldest son to House Atreides. On the other hand, part Two will take a more in-depth peek at the universe and dig deeper into the Harkonnens.

Dune Part 2 is set to begin filming in the summer of 2022, with a probable October 2023 release date. Russia’s current invasion of Ukraine may endanger such objectives. A substantial portion of Dune had been shot in Hungary and this will provide a significant scheduling challenge because of its proximity to Ukraine.
