Michael B. Jordan Returns As Boxing Champion in Creed 3. See First Poster

A new poster for the upcoming film Creed 3 features Michael B. Jordan in the role of the titular character, a boxer, who is ready to go back into the ring. The Rocky spin-off – Creed – centers on Adonis Creed, who is the son of Apollo Creed, who was both Rocky Balboa’s most formidable adversary and his closest friend. Jordan appeared in the first two films of the Creed franchise with Rocky franchise originator Sylvester Stallone, who served in several capacities as Creed’s instructor and mentor. Jordan is likely to direct the third edition of the Creed series in addition to acting in the film as its lead character.

Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad are returning for the third part in the Creed film series, along with newcomer Jonathan Majors. Majors claims that he was punched in the face a hundred times while they were shooting, but that “everything is OK.”

Even though there is little information available on the film’s plot, work on the movie is drawing to a close in anticipation of its debut in November of 2022. On the other hand, a theory that has gained a lot of traction asserts that Majors is in reality the offspring of Clubber Lang, who appeared in Rocky III (played by Mr. T).

According to a recent story from Collider, a teaser image for Creed 3 was displayed at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. The image featured Michael B. Jordan in his role as Adonis Creed. On the poster, which features Jordan in the role of a formidable and combat-ready figure, the MGM emblem is shown in a prominent location.

Creed’s Connection To Rocky Film Series

Stallone authored and starred in the first Rocky movie in 1976, creating one of the most profitable franchises in Hollywood history, spawning five additional films in the core series. Creed, directed by Ryan Coogler in 2015, and starring Michael B. Jordan, is its continuation.

Jordan. as the lead character, effectively continues the Rocky film series with a new main actor. Creed II was a critical and economic success in 2018, and soon after, a third film in the series was approved with director Neil Jordan taking over and Stallone declaring his departure from the franchise.

Rocky legacy is a massive weight to place on Creed’s shoulders, but thus far, it’s done a terrific job of carrying on the traditions that made the franchise great while developing an identity of its own. It will be intriguing to see what Jordan brings to the directorial table for Creed 3 since the franchise now rests in his hands and all eyes will be on him to see if he’s up to the challenge. Creed 3 will release on November 23.
