A slasher starring as a look-alike of the famous anthropomorphic teddy bear is in the works now that ‘Winnie the Pooh’ is officially in the public domain. ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’ has begun post-production, according to a sequence of stills from the film that went viral online on Wednesday.
As you might guess given the revelation, the internet is split on the change. Some are hailing the film’s directors for moving the characters to a whole new route on one hand. While on the other side, some others condemn the decision as totally unneeded. Pooh is now back with a story of vengeance in the upcoming movie ‘Blood and Honey‘.

Original Illustrations Of Winnie The Pooh Enter The Public Domain!
While Disney retains ownership of the rights and likenesses of its versions of the characters, the original artwork and story were released into the public domain earlier this year. There is no single public domain because of various copyright rules across the world, thus Public Domain Review focuses on three of the most famous. Public Domain Review further explains the three focus areas.
“Newly entering the public domain in 2022 will be works by people who died in 1951, for countries with a copyright term of “life plus 70 years” (e.g. UK, Russia, most of EU and South America); works by people who died in 1971, for countries with a term of “life plus 50 years” (e.g. Canada, New Zealand, and most of Africa and Asia); and works published in 1926 (and all pre-1923 sound recordings), for the United States.”

The Launch Of The Movie’s Making Was Done Back In April!
Apparently there is a Winnie the Pooh horror movie in the works now . Who ever had the idea for this definitely planned this ahead and strategically waited for the copyright to expire and go to public domain before making this lol pic.twitter.com/eyNXUuj8Us

On April 27th, Jagged Edge Productions announced the film’s production on their Facebook page, along with several stills. Masked figures terrorize young kids in a secluded place, according to photographs from that post. One of these characters wears a Winnie the Pooh mask that has been slightly humanized. The other sports a pig mask with curled pointed teeth that seem more lifelike. One still has blood painted over a window with the words “Get Out,” which sends out strong you’re next emotions. Given that and the other stills, it’s a reasonable assumption that the film is about a house invasion. There is no release date shared though as of now.
