This subtle lyric blew up on social media as fans rushed to react to the lyric, with many agreeing to Swift’s observance and many joking about it. Days after, Charlie Puth has finally responded to the shout-out, through his Instagram stories.

Though he didn’t write a note, Puth shared a post of Taylor’s on his story, which fans took as a subtle nod of acknowledgment from him.
