“I Would Be Concerned Too”: ‘Stranger Things’ Creators Warn Series Fans As The Season 4 Finale Approaches

With volume II of the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’ fast approaching, fans are very excited to know how the story will unfold in the coming chapters. After a nightmarish wrapping up of the volume I things are going to be risky for the entire cast. Fans are no doubt worried about the fate of their favorite characters.

It seems like the bosses of ‘Stranger Things’ are not really willing to ease that worry very soon. Recently, a statement from the cast members confirming the death of one main character has shaken the fans. On top of that, the brand new warnings from the Duffer Brothers have pretty much confirmed that there will be no happy ending.

The volume I finale unfolded many epic twists. Test subject number One (Jamie Campbell Bower) became this season’s nightmarish villain Vecna. Apparently, Nancy (Natalia Dyer) could be his next victim as she becomes paralyzed in the Upside-Down. Meanwhile, Hopper (David Harbour), Joyce (Winona Ryder), and Murray (Brett Gelman) are still stuck in the Russian prison, which just happens to be infested with Demogorgons.

During this crucial period, it’s hard to say that the destiny of any of the characters might turn out to be favorable. Co-creator Ross Duffer has taken up the lead to warn that there is an obvious reason to be concerned. “I don’t really want to say, but I would be concerned about the characters going into Volume 2, for sure,” Duffer told Variety.

He continued, “I hope that that is sort of the sense, because it is a darker season and the kids are no longer kids. And there’s sort of an ominous feeling that things might not go well. Now, whether they do [die] or not, you’ll have to watch.”

The ongoing conversation with Ross Duffer has pretty much terrified the fans. Although all the probable characters are gonna go through a real tough phase in volume II, still Ross hinted at one particular character who is at a really crucial point. That is everyone’s favorite babysitter, Steve Harrington played by Joe Keery.

The show wrapped up with a scene where Steve tried to shake Nancy out of her Vecna paralysis. Fans are speculating if the character will make it out of volume II. Responding to the queries, Ross replied, “It feels wrong to say ‘excited’, but I’m excited that people are concerned. And they should be concerned going into the final two episodes [of season 4] — for everybody.”

Stranger Things season 4 part 2 premieres on July 1, streaming on Netflix.
