A$AP Rocky and his girlfriend Rihanna are trying to navigate parenthood, which comes with its own sets of happiness, hopes, and struggles. The couple welcomed their son on May 13. They were friends for many years. It was in 2020 that they made their relationship official.
A$AP is enjoying being a new father and has already planned how he would like to raise his child. In an interview with Dazed, he said, “I hope to raise open-minded children. Not people who discriminate. And I’m not trying to describe a saint, but realistically, I just want a cool child with cool parents.”
A$AP Rocky On Parenthood Plans
A$AP, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is over the moon as a father to a newborn baby. He shared with the media outlet that he would always want his child to have good imagination.

When asked what kind of a dad he wants to be, A$AP said, “I will always remind my children to never lose their imagination, even as adults, no matter what. I actually love to watch cartoons – I’ve watched like, Teletubbies, Blue’s Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa Pig and Baby Shark.”
About his parenthood plans, the musician added the things he wants to teach his kid: “Things like diversity and versatility are important, and they’ll be embedded in the household.”
A$AP On Relationship With Rihanna
A$AP Rocky also talked about his ladylove, Rihanna. The Grammy winner gushed about how easy and natural things come with the global star, even fashion. “I think it’s just natural. We happen to look good together naturally. You know, it would take a lot of work to have us forcefully match before we leave the house,” he said.
He continued, “Sometimes we match to a T, or we just wear the same clothes. If I buy a shirt that she likes, I expect to get it stolen… but then I gotta steal it back.
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna haven’t revealed the name of their son yet.
