Amber Heard has paid the $1 million settlement to Johnny Depp that she owed following their long battle in court. The duo’s defamation claims were settled in December 2022.

It has been six months since the problems were solved between the pair, and Depp finally got the settlement amount from Heard’s insurance company. TMZ reported that the money would be distributed equally between Depp’s non-profits, each receiving $200,000.

Although they were involved in a legal battle over the years, Johnny Depp has always claimed that he never tried to get any money from his former wife and was just aiming to clear his name out of the accusations targeted at him.
