    Apple Tv Postpones Upcoming Film Of Will Smith After Oscar Slap Incident

    Ever since Will Smith’s slap incident at the Oscars 2022, his career seemed to be going haywire. Oscar has banned Will Smith from attending the awards ceremony or anything related to the Academy for 10 years.

    It seems that Apple issued another release date for his movie “Emancipation” which was supposed to appear on the big screen at the Oscars. Already buzz was building up for Will Smith’s movie “emancipation” before the Oscars. This seemed to be very disheartening news for the Will Smith fans hoping to see the actor in “Emancipation.”

    Apple declared that Will Smith’s “emancipation” will not be released in 2022. Originally the movie was supposed to drop in the fall festival circuit later this year. This movie was going to be the actor’s first movie after the Slap incident at the Oscars this year.

    Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the movie already created a lot of buzzes. Though there was no official release date for the movie it was expected to be the ‘ next potential award winning project after “CODA.”

    Sources have revealed that the action drama will not appear on the big screens in 2022. Though a discussion has been going on, to release the movie in the fall, still it seems highly unlikely. Fuqua is still deep in production to release the movie. The film has already suffered numerous losses due to the change of production from Georgia to Louisiana. Also, the damage by Hurricane Ida and the pause due to COVID-19 cases in August 2021 were some of the reasons.

    Along with “emancipation” by Will Smith, Apple also has some amazing projects lined up. Among them, Martin Scorsese’s the “Killers of Flower Moon” with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jesse plemons deserve a mention. Even though the production of the movie finished in September 2021, the $200 million movie adaptation could also face a move to 2023.

    Among the movies scheduled for this year apple has Rodrigo Garcia’s “Raymond and Rey” and Peter Farrelly’s “the greatest beer run ever.” In addition to all that the company also has some documentaries lined up. Bill Collage wrote “Emancipation” and stars Ben Foster along with Will Smith. It tells the story of a runaway slave who tried to escape his plantation owners. Few other producers of the movie are Todd black, Joey McFarlan, and John Mone.

    The movie will probably appear on the big screen sometime late in 2023.
