Best of BRIT 2022 Fashion: Females Part 1

The BRIT Awards were held on Wednesday in London’s O2 Arena. The show, organized by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) strives to recognize and reward the best talents in the music world. As such, the award show garners worldwide attention, forcing singers and celebrities to bring their fashion A-Game to the red carpet.

This year’s BRIT also served some major looks. Let us take a look at some of the best-dressed females of the night!

The big winner of the night with 3 awards, Adele, also won big with her look. The 33-year-old donned a floor-length Armani Prive gown made of velvet and silk. It had a fitted bodice, with full sleeves, flawlessly draped to accentuate her figure. It had an off-shoulder that fell into a dramatic plunging neckline, all of which was highlighted with embellished tulle. The same tulle was also used in a short train behind her dress. Keeping pace with her understated yet elegant look, Adele chose only two pieces of jewelry to accessorize. A pair of tiered diamond earrings, and a stunning pear-shaped diamond engagement ring from Lorraine Schwartz, reportedly worth $2 million.

American singer and songwriter Olivia Rodrigo was a vision to behold. The teenage sensation chose Alexandre Vauthier for the BRITs. She wore a custom silver sequinned gown, with strappy sleeves and a cowl neckline. The different sequins used for the bodice and skirt gave the outfit a 3-dimensional effect. Rodrigo paired the outfit with a pair of black strappy heels.

Dancer and television personality Oti Mabuse chose a form-fitting dress in tones of black and gold. The dress consisted of a corseted bodice, strappy sleeves, and a sweetheart neckline. It also had sheer paneling The skirt had an asymmetrical hemline, featuring a slit on the front, along with ruched, ruffled detailing.

22-year-old Holly Humberstone decided to go bold at the BRITs. She was dressed in a lace Gucci dress. The black dress was sheer, featuring a corseted bodice and a straight skirt, with elaborate detailing on the lace. The dress boasted feathery sleeves and was paired with heels in the same color. Humberstone was accessorized in 2 necklaces, as well as statement earrings.

Singer Anne Marie decided to give a twist to the classic biker girl look. Her red carpet look was an all-black ensemble. She wore textured floor-length trousers, a bralette with tie-up detailing on the front, topped with a simple leather jacket. She accessorized the look with stacked rings and golden earrings. Her make-up comprised of a dramatic winged smokey eye and nude lips, perfectly complimenting her look.

British TV and radio presenter Maya Jama chose to pay homage to American Icon Cher on the BRIT red carpet. Jama chose a two-piece outfit from Mônot. Inspired by Chef’s Mohawk gown to the 1986 Oscars, Maya’s outfit comprised of a top with strappy sleeves and jagged, geometric hems; and a long, fitted skirt, with similar geometric cutout detailing along the waist. She completed the look with a feathered black stole and silver pumps. She accessorized the look with stacked rings and golden earrings. Her make-up comprised of a dramatic winged smokey eye and nude lips, perfectly complimenting her look.

The 23-year-old British singer-songwriter chose to pay homage to her Southeast Asian roots. She wore a two-piece outfit by Natalie Roar and Kate Walker. The ensemble comprised of a top in the style of an Indian choli, and a short skirt with an asymmetrical hemline, with two-toned embellishments. The outfit also contained a choker detailing. A golden, floor-length hooded cape completed her BRIT look. She accessorized her look with golden jewelry, traditional Indian hand ornaments, and strappy, stone-studded heels.
