    BTS Creates History At The Billboard Music Awards 2022

    The biggest night of music, the Billboard Music Awards 2022 honored this year’s chartbuster artists. BBMAs are the fairest as the artists win due to their streaming, radio, digital song sales, and touring. It also depends on how the audience interacts with the music, making the songs, and albums of the artiste chart on the lists in different categories. Many solo histories were created at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas. However, the boy band BTS created history at the BBMAs.

    The Army around the world celebrated and the occasion was grand. BTS was nominated for Top Rock Song (My Universe), Global Artist (Excluding the US), Top Duo/ Group, Top Selling Song(Butter), Global Song[Butter (Excluding the US)], and Song Sales Artist. 

    The band comprising V, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook, RM, and Jin won three out of six awards during the music’s biggest honorary night. They won the two commercial categories i.e., Top Selling Song and Song Sales Artist, and won the BBMA for Top Duo/Group beating their contenders Silk Sonic, Glass Animals, Migos, and Imagine Dragons.

    However, the night became historic for this K-pop group as they beat Destiny’s Child to become the most awarded band in the history of the Billboard Music Awards. Earlier, the girl band Beyonce held the record for 11 awards. BTS has broken the record by scoring 12 awards. The band has won three awards in consecutive years now. Destiny’s Child’s record was unbeatable for 17 years until last night. The boys could not attend the show as they are working on their new album ‘Proof’ to be released in June.
