The couple announced the news through their Instagram and Twitter handles. Just six months ago, Christiano and Gorgina has announced that they were expecting twins.
In a devastating turn of events, the Manchester United forward informed the world that one of their newborn twins has passed away. His girlfriend Gorgina gave birth to one girl and one boy. The girl child is healthy but the boy could not be saved.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” their joint statement read. “It is the greatest pain that any parent can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Only six months ago the power couple shared the news of their pregnancy with the world. “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins,” the pair wrote alongside a photo of the duo with two sonograms on their respective Instagram posts in late October. “Our hearts are full of love-we can’t wait to meet you #blessed.”
The newborn twins were the fifth and sixth children of the couple. Newborns were also the second set of twins in the family. Christiano Jr. born In 2010, is the first child of the Portuguese footballer. “With the agreement of the mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, I will have exclusive custody of my son,” Ronaldo has announced on social media at the time.
