‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ is now available on Disney+, giving Marvel fans the opportunity to relive Wanda Maximoff and Stephen Strange’s adventures so far. It’s an opportunity for the viewers to catch up on any information they might have missed along the way.
Director Sam Raimi’s audio commentary and deleted sequences from the first film are now available on Vudu as well as Disney+. And, a scene seems to suggest Bruce Campbell’s return as Pizza Poppa.
Deleted Scene From Doctor Strange 2 Teases Pizza Poppa’s Comeback
A deleted post-credits scene from Sam Raimi’s ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ features Bruce Campbell. The sequnce has been made available exclusively by Fandango. The sequence depicts Campbell, who portrays the street seller known as Pizza Poppa, continuing to strike himself owing to the spell Strange cast on him earlier in the film.

Pizza Poppa ultimately breaks free of Doctor Strange’s punching spell in the second post-credits sequence, which may have been intended to playfully mock Marvel fans who wait in the cinema after every single film. With an exclamation of triumphant “It’s over!”, he stares straight into the lens. Dr Strange has not seen the last of the Pizza Poppa in the deleted scene, Campbell screams.
Bruce Campbell’s Character Set To Return?
It was Bruce Campbell’s April Fool’s prank as a Doctor Strange Variant that first tipped fans off to his participation in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’. A pizza seller who becomes annoyed with Strange and ends up striking himself repeatedly was Campbell’s only part in the film. However, it was not the end of his screen time.
Campbell’s Pizza Poppa, who was eventually freed from the spell cast by Strange in the second post-credits sequence in ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel, screamed maniacally before announcing that the magic had broken and the film had ended.
It is possible that Campbell’s Pizza Poppa may make a return to the Doctor Strange universe in a Sam Raimi-Campbell picture in the future.
