The next big movie coming out of Hollywood is David Ayer’s directorial debut, “The Bee Keeper.” The film is about a man who is forced to take care of his sister and her children after their mother dies. Statham will be starring in the lead role, and he has already started filming.
David Ayer’s directorial debut, “The Bee Keeper,” is based on the novel by Noah Hawley. The story follows a veteran detective (Statham). Who is tasked with investigating a crime spree that seems to be based around the theft of bee colonies? Statham’s character is forced to defend his colony from a ruthless rival (Ed Harris) with the help of a colorful band of characters.
Details about the film are still scarce, but it sounds like it will be an exciting and dark crime thriller. In addition to directing and starring in the film, Ayer will also serve as producer. “The Bee Keeper” is set to begin filming in September in Toronto.
This exciting new project marks Ayer’s return to the big screen after serving time behind the camera on successful films such as “Suicide Squad” and “End of Watch.” The cast also includes Michael Pena, Tony Goldwyn, and Frances McDormand.
A Possible Release Date And More
The filming will also take place in London and Bulgaria. The film has been in development for several years and was initially slated for release in 2013 but has since been delayed. In a statement, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Chief Doug Belgrad said that “The Bee Keeper” is “a hard-hitting crime thriller set against the beautiful backdrop of Europe.” It’s unclear when The Bee Keeper will hit the theaters.
